How to start an audit, read the results and share them with clients

Running an Audit

An audit analyzes a single URL and checks it against 40+ SEO, performance and security factors.

Starting an audit

  1. Go to Websites and select your website
  2. Click New Audit
  3. Enter the page URL (must include https://)
  4. Click Run Audit

The audit runs in the background and is ready in 10–30 seconds.

Reading the results

  • Score (0–100) — overall SEO health of the page
  • SERP preview — how the page appears in Google, Bing and Yahoo
  • Test categories — grouped checks with pass/warn/fail status

Issue severity levels

  • Major — critical issues that can directly harm your rankings. Fix these first.
  • Moderate — issues impacting user experience or ranking potential.
  • Minor — small improvements and best practices.

Refreshing an audit

After making changes, click Refresh Audit to run a new analysis. The previous results are saved as an Archived Audit for comparison.

Sharing an audit

Enable Public Audit in website settings (with optional password) to share a public link of the results with clients.
